The administration of Mahiliou-based hostel of the “Abldarbud” state-owned enterprise has not allowed canvassing for votes on its premises by Belarusian Popular Front activist Valiantsina Shchetnikava.

Mrs. Shchetnikava, activist of Ryhor Antanovich’s and Uladzimir Punchanka’s (For Freedom members) initiative groups, was told that only persons campaigning for pro-government candidates are allowed to enter the hostel., which was later confirmed by Pavel Shyshou, head of Abldarbud’s hostels.
