Alena Famina, member of the Social Democratic Party “Narodnaya Hramada” running for Parliament in Vitsebsk constituency No. 17, has been searched today by the Belarusian customs officials, as she was going to Vilnius.

The candidate, who is known as an associate of imprisoned ex-candidate for President Mikalai Statkevich, says the search was long, but the officers did not find anything. This was a second search of Alena Famina, after she was detained at the Polish border on 2 September.
