On 13 September, parliamentary candidate Valery Karankevich relieved a letter from Khotsimsk district executive committee, saying that administrative charges had been brought against the candidate.

Valery Karankevich is to appear on 17 September. He says the summons deals with an unauthorized election picket staged on 11 September. The opposition candidate also fears that the charges are aimed at preventing him from meeting with his voters on the day of the expected visit.
