State-owned TV and radio reject 33 speeches by UCP candidates

33 out of 68 election addresses by parliamentary candidates representing the United Civil Party of Belarus have been taken of air on state-owned TV and radio channels, says the UCP spokesperson Mrs. Hanna Krasulina.

12 UCP candidates have been rejected by both TV and radio companies, with 4 candidates being unable to publish their election programmes in government-run newspapers. 9 more speeches failed to be recorded.

11 addresses were slightly censored but managed to be broadcast on state-owned TV and radio channels, including two by the party’s leader Anatol Liabedzka.
