In the last days of election campaigning, the executive authorities of the town of Luninets (Brest region) have prevented candidate Vital Karatysh (constituency No. 13) from having a number of meetings with voters at state-owned enterprises and organizations. Apart from that, his election posters have been stolen.

In particular, the candidate was banned to meet the employees of the Palesseelektramash enterprise and Mikashevishy-based Granite company. Despite this, Vital Karatysh tried to speak with Granite workers in an informal meeting. However, he was forced to leave the territory by the company’s security guards.

The candidate also says his posters have been stolen from information boards across the district, while the campaign materials of his only rival – head of Luninets district department of education Valiantsina Veras – can be found everywhere.

Apart from that, local observers have reported other election violations in the constituency. In particular, early voting at polling station No. 6 is held in the premises of school No. 2, with dozens unauthorized persons present during voting. As a result, local observers say the election commission has issued 34 ballot papers, while the official data claim there were 57 ballots.
