The election officials in Mahiliou have included local penal colony in the territory of polling station, says Yury Novikau, local coordinator of the For Fair Elections observation campaign.

The observer says the changes have been enforced today, i.e. the last day of voting, to secure the necessary voter turnout.

According to observer Volha Yakushenka, who managed to visit the territory of the inner polling station with 113 potential voters, the prison’s inmates were forced to cast their ballots in a mobile ballot box.
