Central Election Commission gives similar answers to all appeals of Homel observers

The observers' appeals mainly concerned manipulations with the turnout at the precincts (as a rule, the numbers stated by the election commissions were twice larger than that of the observers).

The observers received identical answers from the Central Election Commission where it is written that the visual calculation of votes is judicially insignificant as far as this procedure is not provided for by the legislation. That's why the CEC found no reasons to “raise the question of re-calculation of the votes”. The constituency election commissions, in their turn, refused to consider such appeals at all, stating that “the function of the parallel counting of votes is beyond the powers of an observer”.
