The Mahiliou-Central constituency election commission #85 turned down an appeal of a former candidate for the Parliament, activist of the Belarusian Social Democratic Party (Hramada) Anastasiya Voitava, who argued that the observers' assessments of the turnout didn't match with that announced by the commission and therefore asked to recognize the election at the constituency as invalid.

Having listened to the appeal of Anastasiya Voitava, the head of the constituency election commission Klimiankova stated that all there is no evidence for the facts that were mentioned in it, after which the commission unanimously voted for dismissing the appeal.

Anastasiya Voitava's electioneering agent Viktar Karakouski says that as many as 807 people voted at home at precinct #69. “Meanwhile, there are only about 1,500 electors in the electors' list and 1,170 voted on the election day. I have been observer several times and said that I had observed home voting once, going to people's houses together with members of the election commission. At that time there were 19 home voters and it took at least half of a day to visit them all. What can be said about 807 people – the visits to them would have taken many days? My arguments were ignored,” says Viktar Karakouski.

The human rights defender Barys Bukhel wasn't admitted to the sitting of the constituency election commission at which Voitava's appeal was considered.

“The executive officer of the Leninski District Executive Committee of Mahiliou stood at the entrance and let people in according to his will. Only Anastasiya Voitava and her electioneering agent Viktar Karakouski were let in, while all others had to wait outdoors. The most disgusting thing was that when the applicants left the room where the sitting of the constituency election commission was held, the commission members started to applaud. They applauded to themselves for having successfully endured the pressure of the opposition, for the good work they've done,” says Barys Bukhel.
